Read "Improving Opioid Use Disorder Treatment through Quality Assessment" in the Journal of General Internal Medicine

PARCKA Faculty Affiliates Michael A. Incze MD, MSEd and Taylor Kelley MD, MPH, MSc and PARCKA Director Adam J. Gordon MD, MPH recently published "Improving Opioid Use Disorder Treatment through Quality Assessment" in the Journal of General Internal Medicine

Drs. Incze, Kelley, and Gordon propose four guiding principles for patient-centered quality measurement in a rapidly expanding, diverse opioid use disorder treatment environment:

  1. Emphasize Reward over Penalty

  2. Incentivize Innovation to Support Vulnerable Groups

  3. Identify Gaps in Treatment Infrastructure

  4. Encompass Holistic, Patient-Centered Care
