Message from Governor-elect Designee:

I could not be more thrilled for the opportunity to serve as Governor, ACP Utah Chapter. By way of brief introduction, I graduated from Northwestern University Medical School, completed my residency at the University of Utah, and then served as Chief Medical Resident. I am boarded in general internal medicine and my clinical and research interests reside in thrombosis medicine. I co-direct the Thrombosis Program at Intermountain Medical Center where I serve as Chair of the Department of Medicine. I hold the rank of Professor of Medicine (Clinical) at the University of Utah School of Medicine. I Co-Chair the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) Antithrombotic and Thrombolytic Therapy Guidelines Writing Panel, and I am a panelist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Venous Thromboembolism Surveillance Workgroup Committee. I have formerly chaired the ACP Utah Chapter Residents & Fellows Committee. I enjoy mountain biking and hiking with my wife Patricia and teenagers, Isabela & Gunnar.

With gratitude,

Scott
