Welcoming Two New Providers in General Internal Medicine

The Division of General Internal Medicine welcomes Drs. Danielle Delucchi and Kira Watson to the team:

Danielle Delucchi, MD 

Dr. Delucchi is an internist and assistant professor at the University of Utah Area E General Internal Medicine clinic. She earned her medical degree from George Washington University in 2017 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah in 2020. Her interests include preventive medicine and sports medicine. She spends her free time teaching human anatomy to the university's first year medical students.

 

Kira Watson, MD, MPH 

Kira Watson, MD, MPH is a primary care provider and assistant professor at Sugarhouse Clinic. She is trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics. She is also spending two days per month at the Spina Bifida Pediatric and Adult Clinics. Her clinical interests include population health, social determinants of health, transitional care of complex pediatric patients, and quality care for non-English speaking patients. Dr. Watson speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr. Watson grew up in Miami, Florida. She received her undergraduate degree from Pomona College in Claremont, CA and her MD, MPH from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed a four-year Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency, and a one-year Quality Improvement Fellowship at LAC+USC Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. She is Board Certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Watson has completed six half marathons and hopes to compete in her first triathlon. She also enjoys a good book, experimenting in the kitchen and getting out on the slopes. Dr. Watson is excited to be part of the University.
