We are pleased to welcome Dr. Catherine Lee to the faculty in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies.
Dr. Lee recently completed a fellowship in Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Stanford University. She received her M.D. degree at New York University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in oncologic Palliative Care and Pain Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and a second fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. Dr. Lee’s research interest while at the University of Pittsburgh was on the evaluation of the expression and function of T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-3 (TIM-3), a candidate biomarker of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) stem cells. TIM-3 remains a potential therapeutic target in AML. Dr. Lee will participate in the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. She will be involved in developing a clinical and research program surrounding survivorship and long-term follow-up care for patients who have had a bone marrow transplant.
We welcome Dr. Lee to our faculty.
