Dr. Boyu Hu is joining the Hematology/Hematologic Malignancies department specializing in lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphoma genetics and prognostication. He earned a Bachelors of Science in chemistry from Duke University (Durham, NC) and continued onto receiving his medical degree with AOA distinction from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (Cleveland, OH). Dr. Hu then completed his internal medicine training at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) and recently finished his Hematology/Oncology fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX). His main interests lie in treating various lymphoma/B-cell lymphoid diseases and studying the cancer biology/genetics that cause lymphomagenesis, resistance to treatment and relapse. In his spare time, Dr. Hu enjoys traveling the world, eating everything he can and then shaming himself afterwards to stay active.
