Welcome Dr. Brian McClune


Dr. Brian McClune is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He was born and raised in Kansas, completing his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Medicine there. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and then went on to a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Tennessee where he received specialized training in hematopoietic cell transplantation. Dr. McClune then matriculated to the University of Minnesota where he specialized in stem cell transplantation and treatment of myeloma/plasma cell disorders, was a clinical trialist and director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program over a course of 12 years.  He was then promoted to Associate Professor and became a part of the University of Kansas Medical Center before coming to the University of Utah. 
 
His research interests are in cellular therapies for hematologic malignancies and abrogating toxicities associated with them He has a special interest in plasma cell disorders treatment including transplantation.
