The Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest faculty member Dr. Ghulam Mohyuddin. Dr. Mohyuddin (Manni) originates from Pakistan where he completed his medical training at the prestigious Aga Khan University. He moved to Kansas City for his internal medicine residency where he developed a passion for medical education and treating hematological malignancies. During residency, he was the Chief Medical Resident at the Kansas University Medical Center, focusing on mechanisms of novel educational delivery and improving access to research for trainees. He is currently completing his fellowship there with research interests in multiple myeloma, racial disparities, drug repurposing, quality of scientific methods, end of life, cost-effective/evidence-based care and medical education. Over the last several years, Manni has been a prolific writer and currently has 39 peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, his oral abstract, Hospitalization at the End of Life in Myeloma Patients: Lessons from the National Inpatient Sample, was awarded the ASH Abstract Achievement Award at the 2020 Annual Meeting.
