Jessica Walsh, MD has been awarded a $20,000 Young Investigator Award from the Spondylitis Association of America (SAA). Jessie is an Instructor at the University of Utah School of Medicine and George E. Wahlen Veteran Affairs Medical Center. As a Rheumatologist, her clinical interests include psoriatic diseases and spondyloarthritis. She developed and serves as the Director of the Spondyloarthritis Clinic. The SAA encourages new, upcoming rheumatologists to focus on the future of treatment and research in ankylosing spondylitis and related diseases and recognizes outstanding contributions to the care and understanding of patients with spondyloarthritis. Dr. Walsh received one of three awards from SAA and will be used for her research in spondylitis.
