The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is pleased to welcome Dr. Benjamin Steinberg to the full-time faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Steinberg earned his medical degree at Johns Hopkins. Through a Sarnoff medical student fellowship, he worked at the TIMI Study Group, before doing an internal medicine residency on the Osler Medical Serivce at Johns Hopkins Hospital. he completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Duke University, as well as clinical research training at the Duke Clinical Research Institute.
Dr. Steinberg's clinical interests range across electrophysiology to include device-based therapies, lead management, as well as medical and ablation treatments for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. his research interests are primarily focused on answering clinical questions through outcomes-based analyses of large, observational datasets, and he looks forward to collaborating with groups across campus on a range of clinical research endeavors.
Dr. Steinberg will be seeing patients at the Cardiovascular Center here at the University Hospital, and at the Farmington Health Center beginning this fall. Dr. Steinberg moved to Salt Lake City with his wife, a pediatrician at IMC, and their two young children. He looks forward to exploring the outdoors of Utah and also welcomes any opportunity to pursue his musical interests with colleagues at the U.
