Our Internal Medicine Residency program continues to prepare qualified physicians for future practice, whether in private practice, academic medicine, or further sub-specialty training. On the in-training exam, we continue to perform very well as a whole program. This year's overall performance was at the 87th percentile, compared to 86th last year. 10% of our residents scored above the 90th percentile nationally and 78% over the 50th percentile. This puts us in the category 1 (top quartile performance) on the ABIM fairly reliably. We recently had 25 of our residents match for sub-specialty fellowship training. Congratulations to the following residents. We're glad to see them succeed and look forward to working with many of them who will be sticking around. Education Update - Fall 2017
Additionally, 100% of our residents passed their boards, for the second year in a row! On average nationally there is a 17% ongoing first time failure rate. Our residents have consistently performed much higher than that.
