Hospital Leadership Organizational Changes

Hospital Leadership Organizational Changes

Once again, University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics was recognized nationally, regionally, and locally for our excellence. 2019 is shaping up to be another busy year with many major on-going initiatives across our health system: a new Acute Care Complex, the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital, Sugar House Health Center, and other strategic projects.

In regards to these projects and other initiatives, there are some hospital leadership organizational changes taking place to ensure continued focus.

  • Dan Lundergan will serve as the UUHC liaison to ensure alignment with our partners within U of U Health.
  • Alison Flynn Gaffney will now serve as our Executive Director of Service Lines, Ancillary and Support Services. She will assume responsibilities for Cardiovascular, Women’s & Children’s, Clinical Neurosciences, Dermatology and Medical/Surgical/Specialty Clinic Service Lines. • The Transplant Service line will now report up to our Chief Medical Officer, Tom Miller, MD.
  • Chief Nursing Officer, Margaret Pearce will assume responsibility for Perioperative Services as well as Ambulatory Surgery.
  • Chief Information Officer, Jim Turnbull will report directly Gordon Crabtree.
