Miklos Z. Molnar, MD, PhD, FEBTM, FERA, FASN Dr. Miklos Z. Molnar recently joined the University of Utah Kidney Transplant Program as Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the program after several years working as a transplant nephrologist in Europe and also in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Molnar obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. from Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. He completed his residency and fellowship in Europe then immigrated to USA in 2010. Dr. Molnar completed residency in Internal Medicine and received additional specialized training and faculty experience as a transplant nephrologist at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN after he completed his North American nephrology fellowship training at University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Molnar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Molnar’s primary research interests involve outcome research in kidney transplant recipients. Dr. Molnar is active in clinical research and frequently gives talks in national and international meetings. Dr. Molnar is a primary, senior author or co-author of more than 265 articles in the field of nephrology and transplant medicine. He serves as an Editorial board member in several Journals, and current Associate Editor in Transplant International. In his free time, he loves hiking with his wife and three children. |
New Staff - February 2021
Alyssa Erickson-Wayman, MSN, APRN, FNP-C Alyssa is originally from Seattle and is excited to make Salt Lake City her home. She joined the Melanoma clinic team at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Her background is in Family Practice in community healthcare in New York City, followed by Internal Medicine in Seattle. She is very excited to be moving into oncology and is particularly interested in immunotherapy and taking a comprehensive approach to patient care. Her long time stated dream was to be able to mountain bike after work and now literally works just in front of the Bonneville shoreline trail, making this dream a reality. |

C. Peter Best, MPH, CHES Peter was born and raised in Kearns, UT. He has worked in a local dealth department's HIV/STD Prevention program for more than five years and has worked in public health prevention for over seven years. In addition to his work, Peter also loves to garden. |

Matt Doane Matt is thrilled to be joining the Division of Epidemiology as a Study Coordinator! After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in International Relations from BYU, he is now finishing his Master’s Degree in Public Policy at the University of Utah. Outside of work and school, his free time is spent cooking (a new skill developed during the pandemic), playing board games with his husband, and training for his first half-Ironman race this upcoming August. |

Mikayla Frizzell Mikayla just moved here from California and just started nursing school at Ameritech College of Healthcare. She has been married for 7 years and has two children ages 6 and 2. She loves table top games such as D&D and Warhammer and enjoys assembling and painting the models of the games. Her and her husband have a new hobby of 3D printing. |

Nathan Rost, PA-C, MSPAS Nate recently graduated from Jefferson University’s Physician Assistant program in Philadelphia. He is originally from Pennsylvania. He is thrilled to be in Salt Lake, where he is excited to snowboard and explore beautiful Utah! Prior to PA school, Nate worked in a variety of settings as an EMT, including EMS, transport, and inpatient critical care. Nate found his niche when he learned about palliative care, a speciality that he feels is the marriage of the science of medicine and the art of communication. He is honored to care for people at such challenging times in their lives, and he couldn’t imagine a more resourceful institution to be at or more passionate colleagues to work with.
