Dr. Katherine Lappe Receives Excellence in Educational Leadership Award
Congratulations to Dr. Katherine Lappé, who received the 2023 Peer Recognition for Excellence in Educational Leadership Award. Her remarkable contributions in educational leadership have left a lasting impact on our department. This recognition is bestowed upon faculty members who, judged by a panel of their peers, meet a published standard of excellence based on the quantity, quality, and impact of educational leadership over the past three years. Dr. Lappé has held numerous complex leadership roles within the School of Medicine, further showcasing the quality and impact of her work.
Katie Lappé, MD, is an Assistant Professor and hospitalist within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. She specializes in thrombosis and general internal medicine. Dr. Lappé serves as the director for the Phase 3 Internal Medicine clerkship and Phase 4 Sub-Internship as well as an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency.
