NIH Salary Cap Increased to $189,600 as of 01/07/2018
NIH has issued a notice raising the NIH salary cap from $187,000 to $189,600, effective 01/07/2018.
This higher funding level applies to federal FY18 awards issued starting January 7th.
In addition, "if adequate funds are available in active awards, and if the salary cap increase is consistent with the institutional base salary, grantees may rebudget to accommodate the current Executive Level II salary level. However, no additional funds will be provided to these grant awards."
