Driving out Diabetes is Requesting Proposals to Launch Novel Research Projects

The University of Utah Health in partnership with the Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation launched Driving Out Diabetes, a 3-year wellness initiative aimed to battle diabetes in the state of Utah and across the region through education, preventions, clinical care, and research.

As part of this effort, University of Utah Health is requesting proposals for FY19 to catalyze novel research projects in areas of diabetes, obesity, and metabolism, and to train the next generation of researchers.

The RP will fund three different types of awards with a maximum award amount of $50,000.

1. Seed Grants up to $50,000 will be awarded for a period of one year. 
2. Graduate Student Fellowships in the amount of $25,000 per year will be awarded for a period of two years.
3. Postdoctoral Fellowships in the amount of $50,000 will be awarded for a period of one year.
