SAVE THE DATE: How to be a Principal Investigator in Clinical Research

The Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Department of Internal Medicine are pleased to sponsor How to be a Principal Investigator in Clinical Research. This educational opportunity is for all new clinical investigators, junior faculty, and fellows in medicine subspecialties. Each sesssion will review the responsibilities of being a principal investigator of a clinical trial.

Topics include:

  • Regulations governing clinical investigators
  • Institutional processes for initiating a clinical trial
  • Proper documentation of informed
    consent, adverse events, and maintaining source documentation
  • Cultivating a successful relationship with your research coordinator
  • Identifying key resources to support your clinical research
