UU Research Instrumentation Fund Program

Call for Faculty Proposals – UU Research Instrumentation Fund Program

Internal Medicine Review/Request for Matching Funds – Due Monday, August 12, 2019

Final Applications - Due September 20, 2019

Program Overview: The Research Instrumentation Fund (RIF) is a competitive program that provides support to faculty for new equipment purchases, or to replace or upgrade existing research instruments.  The grant period is for one year only and funds must be expended within that year.

Matching funds are required for an application to be considered for a RIF award. Unless there are documented exceptional circumstances, a minimum of 30% in matching funds is requested by the University.  The Department of Internal Medicine will contribute these matching funds to those applicants selected during the departmental review process (step 1; refer to detailed instructions linked below).

There are two steps to the application process. The completion of step 1 should prepare investigators to submit the final proposal to the University (step 2; refer to detailed instructions linked below).
