1U4U Funding Initiative

The Office of Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs is pleased to offer a “1U4U Funding Initiative” event on

  • Monday, October 28th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB) Room 2120
  • Wednesday, October 30th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the J. Willard Marriott Library, Room 1150

The One Utah for Utah (1U4U) program is designed to seed pan-campus collaborations in areas of mutual interest and opportunity (campus, education, engagement, research, and scholarship. The objective is to stimulate grassroots collaborations, supported by joint incentive seed funding from the two SVPs and associated deans and administrative units, driven by multiple objectives. Projects will be based on triads, at least 2 faculty members drawn from at least two different colleges. Colleges must include both academic affairs and health affairs. These projects will not be peer reviewed, and will be funded on a first come first serve match. Funds will be provided from participating colleges and the SVP’s office.

This workshop will give an overview of the funding mechanism and instructions on how to submit a proposal.
