Dr. Donald Kohan to Receive the 2020 Kidney in Cardiovascular Disease Distinguished Achievement Award

Donald Kohan, MD, PhD, a professor in the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension, will be receiving the 2020 Kidney in Cardiovascular Disease (KCVD) Distinguished Achievement Award by the American Heart Association at the Hypertension 2020 Scientific Sessions on September 10–13, 2020. This award is a distinguished honor that recognizes individuals who have made major contributions to the affairs of a scientific council over a continuing period, and who have made substantial professional contributions to the field, including contributions to new knowledge in the field; contributions to teaching and/or clinical care in the field; and professional leadership in national or international organizations. Dr. Kohan has made a significant impact in his field as a scientist, physician and mentor. The Department of Internal Medicine congratulates Dr. Kohan on receiving this honor.
