Our Commitment to Fighting Racial Inequality

Our country, University of Utah Health and the Department of Internal Medicine are once again in mourning following what appears to be the racially motivated murders of eight people in Atlanta, six of whom were women of Asian descent. Department leadership stands in solidarity with Dr. Ruth Watkin's statement condemning anti-Asian hate, harassment, and violence. Our hearts go out to the victims of this horrifying and senseless crime, and to the Asian, Asian-American and Pacific Islanders in our U of U Health community who continue to endure instances of anti-Asian aggression and discrimination....
